We had a good run at throwing a free convention for 3 years. However at the rate of its growth, Kami-Con couldn't stay that way forever. I have been funding Kami-Con out of my own pocket for the past three years, but I can't keep the convention free any longer. I wanted to make a fun event that gave back to the anime community, which I love, and Kami-Con has done and will continue to do that.
By charging the price of a small con, we can afford to bring you a higher-quality convention, with many more special guests for you to meet. I want you to enjoy our convention and have a place to express your own creativity amongst those who will appreciate it. Kami-Con will continue to be a friendly place for fans of all kind.
Please don't forget to pre-register. We really don't want you to pay $30 at the door for all 3 days of the con (or $25 for 2), but we wanted to encourage pre-registration, as it helps us plan for the convention properly.
If the price of the convention is hindering you from coming, please consider our Volunteering and Attendee Sponsorship options. We want you to make friends and have fun with us, so please let us know what we can do to help.
